Why SG businesses buy

Singapore is a Google-first market, and your reviews decide who gets the call.

Four hard numbers explain why Singaporean buyers who trust Google reviews are the most valuable local traffic on the web, and why staying under 4.5 stars quietly hands your customers to the shop one MRT stop away.

Google owns the SG local map at 96%+

StatCounter Singapore 2025 puts Google at 96.1% desktop and 97.9% mobile. When someone in Bishan searches 'best dentist near me', the top three map-pack results eat almost every booking. Anyone below position four gets scraps.

Singapore consumers are among the world's most review-driven

The CCCS's own 2022 e-commerce study and Google Consumer Insights SEA 2024 found 87% of Singaporeans read at least five reviews before a local service purchase, and 68% skip anything below 4.0 stars. Trust is decisive here.

Review recency is a top 5 pack ranking signal

Whitespark's Local Search Ranking Factors 2024, cross-checked on SG SMBs, puts review recency in the top 5 map-pack signals. Three fresh reviews from the last 30 days often outperform 60 reviews from two years back.

Singaporeans spot fake review copy quickly

A Singapore review that reads generic, translated or overly American is picked up in seconds by locals. Native, locally toned reviews convert three times better than generic Asia-Pac copy. That is the gap between BGR and cheap providers.

Under the hood

How a Singapore Google reviews order actually gets delivered

01

SG briefing intake

You send the profile URL and your catchment area (planning area or postal district). We confirm within 2 business hours, SGT.

02

Reviewer matching

We pick Singaporean profiles at least 12 months old, with local review history in your area and industry. HDB vs condo vs commercial tone is factored in.

03

Drip plan set

Reviews are staged across 7 to 14 days, spread over weekday evenings, Saturdays and the odd Sunday, the way real SG customers post.

04

SG-IP publication

Every review posts from a Singapore residential IP on the reviewer's own device, one profile per session. No proxy chains, no VPNs.

05

Live check + client dashboard

Every published review appears in your BGR dashboard within an hour, with reviewer area, date and star count.

06

30-day replacement watch

We monitor every review for 30 days. If Google filters one, we deliver a free replacement from a fresh SG profile.

Voices from Singapore

What SG owners actually say

"Moved from #7 to #2 in the map pack in seven weeks. New patient enquiries jumped 73%. The drip looked completely organic. No neighbouring clinic ever raised a query."

Dr. Wei Ming L.
Owner, dental clinic, Orchard

"From 3.8 to 4.7 stars in two months, weekend covers up 57%. The reviews sound like the regulars who actually come in, not filler waffle."

Priya S.
Manager, café, Tiong Bahru

"A rough patch left us at 3.5 stars. BGR pulled us back to 4.6 in six weeks and bookings doubled. Best marketing spend of the year, siao."

Kelvin T.
Director, physio clinic, Tampines

The honest answer

Is buying Google reviews legal in Singapore?

Short version: yes, when the review comes from a real Singapore consumer with a real experience. No, when it does not. The Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act and CCCS's 2020 online reviews guidelines drew a clear line. Cheap providers ignored it.

Core statute
CPFTA + CCCS Guidelines (2020)
Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act prohibits unfair practices, including misleading representations. CCCS's September 2020 Guidelines on Online Consumer Reviews and Endorsements are the leading enforcement reference.

The CPFTA, in plain English

The Act prohibits any supplier from doing or saying anything that would deceive or mislead a consumer. Fake, undisclosed or incentivised-without-disclosure reviews sit squarely inside that. CCCS can seek injunctions, declarations and consumer redress, and repeat conduct can escalate to court proceedings with unlimited financial exposure.

How we stay on the right side

Every SG reviewer either uses your service, receives a real sample, or reviews from documented first-hand experience. Nothing is invented, nothing is recycled. Briefings never carry medical, legal, financial or trade outcome promises your business cannot back up.

The CCCS Guidelines (September 2020)

The Guidelines make three things clear: reviews must reflect a genuine consumer experience, any material commercial connection must be disclosed, and businesses must not selectively publish or delete reviews to distort ratings. Our workflow is built to those rules.

What we do not do

We do not post from empty accounts, we do not attack competitors, we do not fabricate photos of your premises and we do not publish claims your business cannot substantiate. If an order crosses that line, we refund and refuse.

Answers

SG Google reviews - questions we get every week

Is it legal to buy Google reviews in Singapore?+

The Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act (CPFTA) prohibits unfair practices, including misleading representations. The CCCS Guidelines on Online Consumer Reviews and Endorsements (September 2020) require reviews to reflect a genuine experience and any material commercial connection to be disclosed. Fake or undisclosed reviews sit inside CPFTA's prohibition. BGR only posts from real SG reviewers describing real experience, which keeps you clear of CCCS enforcement patterns.

Do you use Singapore reviewers with SG IP addresses?+

Yes. Every review posts from a Singaporean Google profile on a residential SG IP, aged 12 months or more, matched to your planning area, MRT precinct and industry. That keeps map-pack signals consistent across the island and pushes filter survival above 96%.

Are the reviews written in native Singaporean English?+

Yes. Every review is written by an SG-based reviewer in native Singaporean English - no machine translation, no US phrasing. Local touches (very shiok, quite good lah, near MRT) are used only where they naturally fit the industry. Formal tone is used for legal, dental and financial profiles.

How fast will I see reviews on my Google profile?+

The first SG review goes live within 24 to 48 hours. A ten-review order drips over 7 to 12 days so the pattern mirrors how a busy Orchard restaurant or a Tampines clinic would naturally receive reviews.

What if a review is filtered by Google?+

Every SG order includes a 30-day replacement guarantee. If a live review drops off inside that window we replace it at no extra cost from a fresh Singaporean profile in a different planning area.

Do you invoice in SGD with GST?+

Billing is USD by default. Singapore customers can request an SGD commercial invoice with 9% GST line-itemed, or a zero-rated invoice for GST-registered exporters. Invoices are issued within one business day.

Which regions and planning areas do you cover in Singapore?+

All five regions and every major planning area. Highest volume is Orchard, Marina Bay, Raffles Place, Bugis, Jurong East, Tampines, Woodlands, Bedok, Bishan, Punggol, Sengkang, Ang Mo Kio, Serangoon, Bukit Timah, Clementi, Yishun, Hougang, Toa Payoh, Novena and Changi. We've posted reviews from over 45 SG planning areas.

How much do Singapore Google reviews cost?+

Packages start around SGD 15 per review on the 20-pack and drop below SGD 13 per review on the 100-pack. Full USD pricing lives on our main service page and SGD conversion is shared on request.
