Who should choose BGR Review

Businesses with an active reputation problem: fake 1-stars, competitor sabotage, ex-employee smears, or a suspended Google Business Profile. Removal is the primary need, not another inbox.

Agencies that want to resell reputation services and need a white-label removal and acquisition partner they can invoice per outcome, without asking clients for a monthly SaaS seat.

Independent local businesses on Google, Trustpilot, Yelp, Tripadvisor, Clutch, Facebook or BBB that need results without a monthly contract.

Enterprise reputation leads who want a specialist bolted onto an existing messaging or CX platform (Podium included), so removal and recovery are handled by a team that does only that.

Who should choose Podium

Local service businesses whose day runs through text messages, missed calls and webchat: auto dealerships, dental and vet practices, HVAC, plumbing, retail. Podium's inbox and AI Employee turn those conversations into revenue.

Teams that want text-to-pay and payments inside the same tool that runs their reviews and messaging, without stitching Stripe onto a separate app.

Businesses whose review strategy is "get more Google reviews from happy customers" and whose current problem is inconsistent invitations, not fake or defamatory reviews.

Owners who have budget for monthly SaaS and want a single vendor for messaging, reviews, payments and AI lead qualification.

How to choose (and why businesses compare these two)

Podium and BGR Review show up in the same shortlist because both promise "more Google reviews." In practice they do the opposite ends of the same job. Podium invites reviews from customers you already messaged. BGR Review removes the reviews that shouldn't be there and rebuilds star ratings after an attack. The FTC's 16 CFR §465 fake-reviews rule (in force since 21 October 2024) has made removal a compliance-heavy discipline that inbox tools weren't built for. That gap is where BGR Review lives.

Before committing to either, decide: (1) is the primary bottleneck asking for reviews or defending against fake ones; (2) do you need messaging, webchat and payments in one tool, or is that already handled elsewhere; (3) do you want outcome pricing or subscription pricing. The right answer is often both: Podium for the inbox layer, BGR Review for removal and recovery.
